-Qatar Patrol Cats-

Vessels are not made or manufactured. They evolve out needs.

Then minds seek to find a form that will have the ability to fulfill the needs.

The needs are often many things......... Space, speed, protection, practicality,
maneuverability, maintainability, visual manifestation and more.

Watch these vessels evolve over the next few months.

They have passed through the state of mind onto note pads, from note pads
to computers, from there to paper, then back to the computer, from there to a disc,
from there to a CAD router which cuts the aluminium into forms,
the forms are welded
to form larger forms......

We might have evolved to this point.
But now we are getting man u factured.

All our frames are up and now it's time to start skinning us. It's not as bad as it sounds.
Veecraft Marine is taking boat building
 to new levels.

This is my Port enging room.
All this aluminium is manufactured
in South Africa.
We have been told us that we are getting two 355hp engines and Castoldi Jets electronic control hydraulic steering & controls.

They have fitted the first tunnel roof. Here they go welding up our tunnels.

Now this looks a little better.
Nice to see us with our skins on.
This is just the beginning.
Lots of work to do once we get rolled over.

Hello!!  Hello!! Here we are back in Cape Town again. We had a great trip back from Hout Bay. We sure are going to miss the wonderful views. A week has passed and still no boat to take us to Qatar. Have they got lost the Fogg?
A new boat has been found!!
So we will be taken out of the water today.

I am practicing being a Qatar Petroleum Security Patrol Boat. Do you like the back drop?
Edmund has been teaching me to look stern.
Well this is it, we are getting out of the water.
We sure will miss the chaps at Veecraft Marine.
They have been so attentive and careing.

The little people who build this site, are very happy to hear that the catish twins have performed very well.A regular pair of Patrol Cats. We sure will miss them when they leave for Qatar onboard a steamer later this week.
We hope that they don't get seasick.
